Her kommer del 3 i min serie om antistoffer. Om TRAS/TRAb. Du tenker kanskje, det har ingen interesse for meg, for jeg har ikke Graves. Men det er en stor misforståelse, for vi hypothyroide har nemlig også TRAb. Vi har blokkerende og/eller kløyvende TRAb. De sistnevnte kan faktisk forårsake celledød i kjertelen. Så ikke uten interesse for dem med lavt stoffskifte. 

Jeg skriver også om TRAb og jod. 

Det er min store drøm, at legene en dag forstår hvor viktig antistoffer er. At man på et tidspunkt tar prøver av friske mennesker og oppdager stoffskifteantistoffer på et tidlig tidspunkt  Og setter inn mot dem. Jeg vet det er urealistisk, men vi må håpe.

Here is the third part in my series on thyroid antibodies, on TRAb/TSHR abs. You might think, TRAb has no interest for me, I am hypothyroid. But that is a misunderstanding. We hypothyroid also have TRAb, we have blocking and/or cleavage TRAb. The latter can actually cause celldeath in the thyroid. So not without significance. 

I also address taking iodine when one has TSHR abs. 

It is my hope that doctors one day realize how important thyroid antibodies are. And that healthy people will be tested for antibodies, and thyroid disease be nipped in the bud. I know it's very unrealistic, but we must hope.
